AB 2534 and SB 848 Compliance
South Monterey County Joint Union High School District complies with state requirements regarding the verification of prior employment and the disclosure of misconduct-related information for certificated employees.
Information for Hiring School Districts and Agencies
In accordance with Education Code section 44939.5 and related statutes:
- The District responds to requests for verification of prior employment for current and former employees
- The District will disclose information regarding substantiated allegations of misconduct and related employment actions, as permitted by law
- The District cooperates with other employing agencies to support safe and informed hiring decisions
Requesting Information
School districts, county offices of education, charter schools, and state special schools may submit requests for employment verification and misconduct disclosure to:

Requests should include:
- Applicant name (and any prior names, if known)
All requests will be processed in accordance with applicable confidentiality and privacy laws.
